Bearsden Ski Club has a huge social
side, the club holds many fun evenings which are very popular with members,
non-members are very welcome also.
Some of the most popular and favourite social events at Bearsden
Ski Club include;
- The Burns Supper
- Curry nights and many more themed nights
- Wine and Cheese tasting events
- Summer BBQ and beach parties
- Halloween (for children)
- Christmas party(for children)
- New year party is so much-loved and always a sell out
To mention just a few.
The
Burns Supper is extremely popular and is usually sold out within days of the
tickets being released. Everyone gets the chance to dress up in their finest
and there are guest speakers, this year they were Jonathan Watson, Andy
Cameron and Judith Ralston.
Scott from the bar is a demon with the
bag pipes and always
entertains everyone on the night. The night
follows the original format for a Burns Night Supper. The food and the
atmosphere are excellent and everyone is always raving about how
amazing the night was and the praising of the ski club lasts for months to come.
Then there are the curry night's that
the club hold which are excellent value and a great way to catch up with
friends in a very relaxed manner. Julie from the cafe always puts on a great
range of food and the kitchen staff always go that extra mile to ensure that
all requirement are met, simply fabulous.
CURRY NIGHT FRIDAY 20TH MARCH 6.30 FOR 7.00PM
TICKETS £7.50 ADULT & £5.00 CHILD FROM THE OFFICE
Wine
and cheese tasting nights are also a big favourite with the members of the ski
club and often bring non-members who just love the friendly atmosphere within
the club. Scott really knows his wine and again this is well worth the money. I
must say I really enjoy the cheese which is not the normal range that can be
obtained from your local run of the mill shops. Just luxury.
Summer BBQ beach
party is fun for all the family with parents and children competing in several
different events. Just the thing for those summer nights and as always the BBQ
smells amazing with a nice glass of wine or ice cold beer.
The
Halloween party for the children is great fun as they get to dress up. The Christmas
party only means one thing to the children, getting a present from Santa.
Both events have party games, music and dance competitions as well as lots
of sweets and juice. The Ski Club also supply the chance to go Tubing with
Santa.
The
New Year Party is another big night for the club and again tickets will sell
out in days of being released. This is another family night and a great way to
bring in the bells with kin and friends. Everyone is encouraged to bring some
nibbles to share and even children are allowed in meaning there is no need
for babysitters.
